Don’t Give up the Fight!

For every promise land there is a desert.

For every victory there is a battle.

Recently, I have felt like I’ve been in a constant battle. I’m naturally a fighter, but this time its much harder.

I have felt physically, mentally, and spiritually drained. All of me wants to surrender.

before you forfeit, let me remind you what’s at stake here.

You aren’t just fighting for you, but you are fighting for those who don’t realize they are standing dead center in the blood shed of the battle.

This is bigger than you.

You are weak and there is no way you can win this war.

No, not on your own.

Ah, but may I remind you of who else is on your team, according to 2 Chronicles 20:15?

This battle isn’t yours and you have never fought alone.

Your mighty King is strong and victorious through every battle!

“So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees.”

Don’t you dare give up; don’t forfeit, please!

Your enemy has already lost, so don’t you dare stop.

For every victory there is a substantial cost,

but the good news is Christ already died on that cross,

so no matter how weak you feel or how wounded you are,

He bore the pain and He wears the scars.

I know it hurts, and I know its tough,

but victory is right around the corner,

so please, whatever you do…

don’t you dare give up!

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?…No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” Romans 8:35 & 37

You may not realize it or see it, but your fighting for more than just you. Those who come after you and who are standing under your leadership need you to endure. I promise that you aren’t alone and I know that through Christ you will be victorious!

“We will never take our place as “more than overcomers” with nothing to overcome. We will never be victors without opponents” -Beth Moore, Believing God

Don’t be discouraged when opposition comes your way! You are more than likely doing something right if the Devil has moved you from his list of “Complacent, Powerless, Christians” to his list of “Wanted, Powerful, World-changers”. You are a threat to the enemy. The devil cannot win this fight unless you forfeit and hand him the trophy. Overwhelming victory is ours, as long as we don’t give up the fight!
